New Technology High School was conceived as a small innovative public high school founded on the idea of project-based learning supported by technology. Eleven years later, New Tech High is recognized as one of the most ground-breaking educational institutions in the country, receiving numerous scholastic awards and national acclaim.

New Technology Foundation (NTF) was established in 1999 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization working to achieve national education reform with schools that desire to model the Napa New Technology High School. To achieve this goal, NTF supports the original NTHS in Napa and helps to maintain its demonstration model status as it continues to innovate curriculum and tools. NTF provides interested schools with training in methodology, tools and materials, as well as access to the experiences and expertise of the NTHS site.
